Fans of the Green Bay Packers have been clamoring for the team to address the wide receiver position. They are adding a wide receiver some fans may not know by name. According to the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Packers are signing Malik Turner on Tuesday.

Earlier this offseason, despite the apparent need at wide receiver, the only addition the Packers made at the position was Devin Funchess. Even in the 2020 NFL Draft, with a draft class littered with talented pass-catchers, Green Bay strayed away from selecting a wide receiver.

Now, with Funchess opting out of the 2020 season, the need at wide receiver is enlargened. Instead of targeting a notable name, the Packers are adding someone that fans may be familiar with. While Green Bay faced the Seattle Seahawks last season in the NFC Divisional Round, Turner aided the Packers' in securing a victory.

Late in the contest, Turner would drop a pinpoint pass from Russell Wilson. Unfortunately for Turner, his only drop in the 2019 campaign came in a crucial moment for the Seahawks.

Of course, the Packers would proceed to win the game by the score 28-23 and advance to the NFC Championship Round. As for Turner, he would have a relatively quiet season for Seattle. The undrafted free agent out of Illinois accounted for 15 receptions, 245 yards, and one touchdown.

In his two seasons with the Seahawks, Turner has totaled just 17 catches for 265 yards and one score. Nonetheless, given the team's lack of depth at wide receiver, Turner could earn a decent-sized role with the team in 2020.
