The Green Bay Packers have a number of voids to fill this offseason through free agency and the 2020 NFL Draft. It appears they have not ruled out the possibility of bringing in another quarterback along the way.

The Packers currently own the No. 30 overall pick in the upcoming draft. According to Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, general manager Brian Gutekunst plans on keeping all options on the table.

“Everything I’ve been taught, that’s where you start. You start with the quarterback. So you evaluate them every year, and I think it’s always on the table. It’s a good crop this year.” He thinks this QB class is “deeper” than past.”

Gutekunst's comments may come as a bit of a surprise considering Rodgers still has plenty of years ahead of him when taking into consideration how New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has fared in their twilight years. Regardless, it seems the Packers will still be doing their due diligence on securing a backup and potential successor.

There are a number of quarterback-hungry teams with early picks in this year's draft so it remains to be seen just how much of the crop is left for Green Bay to work with so late in the first round. Fortunately, the depth in this year's class should provide them with some options.

Rodgers had spent several years learning behind quarterback Brett Favre before officially making the seamless transition to becoming the starter. The Packers could very well be looking to take the same approach by developing an unpolished talent under center until the 36-year-old is ready to hang up his cleats.
