ESPN had a fun idea, they went through Pro Football Focus and got every player ranking/grade. They then used that to rank each NFL team by their roster. For the Green Bay Packers, this meant being reminded they're very middle-of-the-pack when it comes to that.

This ranking really shouldn't come as much of a surprise. It's no secret the Green Bay Packers don't have the most talented roster in the NFL. Of course, they're lifted up by some stars (Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams). However, outside of that, the offense isn't bringing much to the table.

Defensively, the Packers are a little more well-rounded but still have some holes. All of this leads to a very middle-of-the-pack ranking.

In fact, if it wasn't for Rodgers, this would be even worse for Green Bay. Not only does his grade help the team, but you'd have to imagine him being there makes others better. That helps their grades increase as well.

All this really did was highlight the biggest problem the Packers have – talent around their Hall of Fame quarterback.

That being said, there's a lot of young talent that can grow. The secondary is filled with it, as is the wide receiver corps. Aaron Jones can still get better at running back as well.

Of course, there are veterans like tight end Jimmy Graham. It wouldn't be shocking at all if Graham returned to his former glory and had a massive season in his second year with the team.

For now though, ESPN and Pro Football Focus confirmed what many already believed – the Green Bay Packers roster isn't anything to write home about.
