Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur will have his work cut out trying to get this team back on track. It appears his first order of business will be taking the pressure off quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

There are a number of areas the PAckers must improve this offseason. According to Jason Wilde of the La Crosse Tribune, LaFleur will start by lessening Rodgers' workload:

“I think anytime you can take as much off the quarterback as possible, that only helps them out in the long run.”

LaFleur's comments are certainly understandable. There is no question that Rodgers is widely considered the most talented quarterback in the NFL. Unfortunately, that seemed to work against Green Bay's favor at times since they became so reliant on his success every week.

Beefing up the offensive line is always a solid place to start when trying to help out the quarterback. However, LaFleur may want to consider developing a consistent run game. Running back Aaron Jones has proven to be a bonafide option on the ground when healthy. He finished the year with 728 yards and eight touchdowns on a whopping 5.5 yards per carry. Despite his efficiency, the Packers were still hesitant to commit to their rushing attack.

LaFleur's stint with the Tennessee Titans did not do many favors for him offensively. However, he can take solace in the fact that he found a way to establish a strong ground game down the final stretch of the year. A more balanced attack could be just what Rodgers needs to find his rhythm again.
