It's only a few days into practice but Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur is already throwing his praise towards wide receiver Jake Kumerow. Kumerow had a great sideline catch on Sunday and after practice, LaFleur talked about how trustworthy and reliable the former DIII standout has been.

“Jake’s a consistent guy that is extremely reliable,” LaFleur said. “You can trust he’s going to be where he’s supposed to be within the timing of the play. And he’s a big guy that can go up and make some plays in those 50-50 balls.”

LaFleur isn't the only guy who has thrown praise at the former Wisconsin-Whitewater standout. Last month during the team's offseason workout program Aaron Rodgers talked about how impressive his game has been.

“The key is being reliable, and earning my trust,” Rodgers said during the offseason workout program via PackersWire. “He is an extremely intelligent guy who is in the right place at the right time. He makes contested catches, he makes the plays that are there and he does the little things.”'

Even though he has been impressive he still has a long ways to go to make the roster. It seems he has an upper hand on making the final 53 with LaFleur and Rodgers behind him, but it is a crowded wide receiver room and he still needs to prove the next few weeks that he can always be consistent and reliable.

If he does make the roster it feels like he could have a breakout year and be one of the better receivers in the NFC North.
