The Green Bay Packers just lost another game. What's more disappointing is that it was against the hapless Arizona Cardinals team whom they played at Lambeau Field Sunday.

A 44-yard field goal by Cardinals kicker Zane Gonzalez with a minute to go in the fourth seemingly sealed the Packers' fate this season. It enabled the 2-9 to build a 20-17 lead that they protected until time expired.

Hopes for the playoffs went dim for the now 4-7-1 team as they lost their third straight contest. All of those games were decided by one score.

Against the Seattle Seahawks, quarterback Aaron Rodgers had an impressive day passing the ball with 332 yards and two touchdowns and no interceptions. But he could not lead his team to victory because their offensive line allowed him to be sacked five times.

A week ago versus the Vikings, Rodgers went down four times in their 24-17 loss.

Last year, the Packers finished 7-9 and failed to qualify in the playoffs since 2009.

The outcome this year could be no different as it appears. With four games to go, the Packers currently sit 11th in the NFC.

According to Josh Alper of NBCSports, head coach Mike McCarthy stated that he's never been in that position before.

“I mean, I’ve never been in this spot,” McCarthy said. “I’m not going to act like I know what the hell I’m going to do tomorrow when they get in here. So, we’re going to do what we always do, we’re going to represent the Packers the right way, I know that. Other than that, we’ll focus on what’s in front of us.”

McCarthy is currently in the hot seat because of his recent string of losses.

The Packers have been under McCarthy since 2006 and had success with him. Above all, they won Super Bowl 45 with him playing calls.
