Aaron Rodgers is going into a season with a head coach other than Mike McCarthy for the first time in his NFL career, as the Green Bay Packers hired Matt LaFleur as McCarthy's replacement earlier this offseason.

However, things have not exactly gotten off to a rosy start for Rodgers and LaFleur, as Rodgers has already expressed some frustration with his role in LaFleur's offense.

Still, former Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb, who signed with the Dallas Cowboys this offseason, thinks that the relationship between Rodgers and LaFleur will end up being just fine:

“I think it’ll go both ways,” said Cobb, according to Jason Wilde of The Wisconsin State Journal. “I think that he will challenge LaFleur, I think he will challenge him to raise his IQ, for both of them to be successful. And I also think with the new offense, Aaron is going to be excited to prove that he’s (still) Aaron Rodgers. I definitely can’t wait to see how it all plays out.”

It's no secret that Rodgers clashed with McCarthy, and many feel that Rodgers' souring relationship with McCarthy was a big reason why Green Bay decided to move in a different direction.

But McCarthy was not the only person with whom Rodgers butted heads.

Some of Rodgers' former teammates have criticized the quarterback, questioning his leadership skills. This offseason is not the first time Rodgers has been under fire, but it's certainly the most criticism he has taken over a short period of time.

The fact that the Packers won just six games in 2018 hasn't helped matters, either.
