During this past season, Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis became the center of some controversy after he was suspended one game for a hit that concussed Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams.

The situation bled over to social media, where Adams vented his frustration while Davis publicly apologized. There now appears to be some sort of peace to the entire ordeal, as the two looked to mend the bridge during their time together for the 2018 Pro Bowl, according to Michael DiRocco and Jenna Laine of ESPN.

“He came and hollered at me the first day,” Adams said. “It happened about a little over a month ago now so we kind of settled it. I’m trying to let bygones be bygones. . . . Obviously you don’t forget things like that, but at the same time we’re teammates out here and you want to be civil and still have a good time so that’s what it’s about.”

It doesn't sound like Adams is completely over it, but there no longer appears to be any bitterness toward Davis for what transpired. They didn't exactly bury the hatchet, but it is a starting point.

That said, Davis did state that the 25-year-old accepted his apology.

“He said he understood,” Davis said. “He said that he was emotional when it happened. He was mad. But we've talked it out. We're in a good place right now.”

Adams suffered a brutal concussion from Davis on essentially a blindside hit that knocked him unconscious during an interception return. The block didn't appear to be necessary given the angle and the fact that linebacker Luke Kuechly was in position to block Adams head-on had Davis not already laid him out.
