Kyle Allen has done well for the Carolina Panthers, providing good performances through the eight games he's played thus far. However, he has not been devoid of mistakes during the season.

A quick look at his performance during Carolina's Week 11 match against the Atlanta Falcons gives a fan a microcosm of what the Kyle Allen experience has been like for Panthers fans. He does throw well, completing 325 passing yards. However, he also threw interceptions four times this game. He was also sacked five times throughout the one-sided contest.

Understandably, some fans are already calling for him to be replaced by the team. However, the Panthers themselves refuse to give up on Allen. In particular, offensive coordinator Norv Turner treats the second-year player a little differently.

“With any young player, he came in, he had some success early,” Turner said, via the Carolina Panthers. “But you have to think about him really like a rookie. If you compare him to some of the other guys that are put in the same situation, that’s the only way you’re going to get better, to learn from your mistakes.”

It makes sense for the Panthers to consider him as a rookie because he only had a single game during his rookie season. There's only so much he can learn in a Week 17 game against a New Orleans Saints team that was already looking at the playoffs.

Allen should add a couple more yards to his already-impressive season tally of 1,923 passing yards and 10 touchdowns by the time they finish playing the Saints. Panthers fans hope that he doesn't play a messy game this time.
