Carolina Panthers star running back Christian McCaffrey scored his third touchdown of the day with a 58-yard rush against the Tennessee Titans in the two teams' Week 9 matchup (via NFL).

The fourth-quarter touchdown from the 23-yard-old rusher extended Carolina's lead over Tennessee to 16 points.

Previously in the home game for the Panthers, McCaffrey scored on a seven-yard reception from quarterback Kyle Allen in the second quarter. Then, in the third frame, McCaffrey finished a nine-play drive with a one-yard run into the end zone.

With Allen in as quarterback for the injured Cam Newton, the Panthers have a 4-1 record and should improve that to five wins soon. Having McCaffrey in the backfield is no doubt helping the second-year gunslinger do his best in Newton's stead.

McCaffrey, in his third season in the league, has scored 13 touchdowns in eight games.
