Carolina Panthers third-year running back Christian McCaffrey went all out for a pass from quarterback Kyle Allen, bobbling a reception one-handed before hauling in the 10-yard grab.

The Panthers have been starting the former undrafted free agent Allen, a 23-year-old second-year signal-caller in the stead of franchise star quarterback Cam Newton, who has been dealing with a foot injury.

So far, the Panthers are in a close matchup with Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans, with the 5-foot-11 McCaffrey hustling to stretch out and make the most of the Panthers' offense.

Carolina selected the Stanford product in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, hoping to pair the shifty rusher with Newton for the future.

However, it looks like in the meantime McCaffrey will have to be the leader on offense, sharing the backfield with quarterback Allen while Newton recuperates.
