Former New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson is now officially a member of the Carolina Panthers after suiting up for the NFC South franchise in Week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

However, after a strange and unprecedented offseason, it seems as though Anderson is still settling in down in Carolina after spending the early portion of his NFL playing career in the Greater New York City area.

Mic'd up along the sideline on Sunday afternoon against the aforementioned Raiders, Anderson revealed just how little he knows about the Panthers and the team's culture as the longtime Jets pass-catcher was quite unfamiliar with Carolina's mascot, known as “Sir Purr.”

Unfortunately for the Panthers newcomer, though, Anderson's team debut was spoiled as the Raiders ultimately came away with a narrow 34-30 win on the road.

Anderson did play well, though, as he served as the team's leading receiver in addition to notching six receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown in his Panthers debut.
