When it comes to the feistiest and most aggressive guards in the NBA, you'd have to look no further than Houston Rockets defensive-minded point guard Patrick Beverley. Fox 26's Mark Berman recently interviewed the Rockets guard to discuss the NBA offseason and how the team can get better.

The Rockets had a disappointing finish to their season, falling in the conference semi-finals and General Manager Daryl Morey vowed to improve the current roster to take on the Warriors. One of the latest pieces of news to come out of the Rockets camp is that the team is scheduled to meet with Los Angeles Clippers star Chris Paul for a chance to convince him a change of scenery is in order.

While some may feel that possibility has a slim chance at best, Beverley is looking at it as a real possibility, but he's not upset about the thought of a new team one bit. Rumors come in bunches near the NBA Draft each year and the feisty point guard has heard rumblings that his days in H-Town may be numbered. When asked by Berman what rumors and speculation he's referring to specifically, Beverley was vague, but cool about it in his answer.

It's some speculation I might be going to another team..There are a lot of teams that want my talent. That's a special feeling.

While he also mentioned Paul specifically, there hasn't been many public rumors about what the Rockets plan to do exactly and which position they feel the team really needs to improve upon.

In many ways the Rockets first year with head coach Mike D'Antoni and the James Harden point guard experiment was a success. Not only did they rebound from a disastrous previous season, but Harden had an MVP caliber year and the team exceeded expectations for the year. While many teams would love to have a tough defensive-minded point guard who can knock down a few three-pointers, there is no real indication that Beverley is in danger of being moved.

Beverley averaged 9.5 points, 4.2 assists and 5.9 rebounds for the 2016-17 season.
