Through the first 12 weeks of the 2017 season, there have been plenty of surprises to rise to the top of the standing across the league.

With the regular season nearing its final stretch, the Las Vegas Super Bowl odds currently have lined up a Super Bowl XXXIX matchup between the defending champion New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles.

Despite a bit of a slow start to the season, the Patriots have progressively looked more sharp as the weeks have rolled on with Tom Brady continuing to play at an elite level despite now being in his 40s. Brady is putting up an MVP-caliber campaign with a league-best 3,374 passing yards with 26 touchdown passes to just three interceptions. He also holds an NFL-best 111.4 quarterback rating through the first 11 games played.

Meanwhile, the Eagles have been one of the biggest surprises this season with much of that coming from the stellar play of second-year quarterback Carson Wentz, who currently leads the NFL with 28 touchdown passes while pushing his team to a current nine-game win streak. What has been equally as impressive has been their play defensively, as they rank third with 17.4 points per game allowed and are sixth overall statistically. That includes Philly being atop the league against the run.

Teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings, and Los Angeles Rams round out the top betting odds in the league.
