Antonio Brown was released by the Oakland Raiders early on Saturday, but it did not take him long to find a new team. According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, the superstar wide receiver has agreed to sign with the New England Patriots.

New England was the logical landing spot for Brown following his release from the Raiders. Bill Belichick has never had a problem signing a player with perceived character issues. He is always looking to add talent to help the team win a Super Bowl and this move definitely accomplishes that goal.

Brown is still one of the NFL's elite wide receivers. He had a massive season with the Pittsburgh Steelers last year, catching 104 passes for 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Now, the Patriots will have a star-studded wide receiver trio. Brown will join Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon as weapons for Tom Brady. Needless to say, that group is going to be one of the most lethal in the NFL.

It will be interesting to see how Brown fares in New England. The Patriots are without question one of the top contenders for the Super Bowl once again this season. Adding Brown should completely ease the minds of those worried about Rob Gronkowski no longer being on the roster.

Expect to see Brown resurrect his career with the Patriots. New England has taken gambles before and Belichick seemingly always finds a way to make things work. This move could be the addition that wins New England yet another Super Bowl.
