New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has been cautiously optimistic about undrafted free agent and rookie wide receiver Jakobi Meyers.
Meyers, 22, inked a deal with the Patriots after going undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft. So far, at New England's training camp, he's held his own and even managed to impress skeptics. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound receiver out of NC State has a fan in the wizened Belichick, but there's plenty to improve upon.

The Patriots and Bill Belichick are looking for receiver help after losing Chris Hogan, Cordarrelle Patterson, and Cody Hollister in the offseason to other teams. Trying to mitigate those losses, New England drafted N'Keal Harry in the first round of the draft and signed Demayrius Thomas, Maurice Harris, and Cameron Meredith.
