DeVante Parker had spent years with the Miami Dolphins, putting up solid numbers for the ‘Phins while calling the New England Patriots his rival. Now, he will call them his him as Miami traded him to the AFC East rival for a third-round draft pick.

Miami bolstered their receiving group with the blockbuster Tyreek Hill trade and Cedrick Wilson Jr. acquisition in free agency. Adding those two talents to stellar youngsters Jaylen Waddle and Mike Gesicki put Parker in a position where he would be needed less. The Dolphins did right by him and quickly found him a new home on a playoff team, even though it was the Patriots.

Being traded from the place he spent seven years didn't dampen Parker's view of the organization. New England's newest key addition said goodbye to the Dolphins community on an Instagram post, thanking the team's ownership group and expressing his respect for his teammates and the fans.

Parker will now team up with Mac Jones on the Patriots, who are looking to surround their young quarterback with a strong offense. They have looked into adding Odell Beckham Jr. to bolster their wide-receiver group even more. They are coming off of a 10-win season and are looking to get back to being a powerhouse in the AFC.

The Patriots and Dolphins should be very competitive with each other next season. New England having Parker gives them plenty of depth at the receiver spot as Jones looks to take a leap in his second year.
