Former NFL legend Joe Theismann recently spoke on two of the greatest quarterbacks the league has ever seen: Tom Brady and Joe Montana. Brady and Montana have had their fair share of championships and accomplished a significant amount of milestones over the years. Which player does Theismann consider to be the better quarterback though?

According to Sam Quinn of 24/7 Sports, Theismann touched on the two quarterbacks and why he thinks the two mean so much to the game.

“He is the greatest who ever played the game,” Theismann said in regards to Tom Brady. “Joe Montana is definitely in that conversation. But the thing that I look at with Tom is Joe had a fairly consistent group around him when they won those championships. That football team pretty much stayed intact for quite a while. Tom has had so many different receivers, so many different line combinations, so many different running backs.”

Theismann is also one of the greatest quarterbacks to play the game and accomplished a lot in his career. Theismann played his entire NFL career with the Washington Redskins and led the team to a Super Bowl XVII victory. The former NFL great was also named the MVP of the league back in 1983 and was appointed to two Pro Bowls as well as one All-Pro team back in 1983.

Brady and Montana are often in the conversation as some of the league's greatest all-time quarterbacks and their resumes speak for themselves. Theismann is a very accomplished player, and his opinion is extremely significant.
