The Los Angeles Rams had no answer for Julian Edelman in Super Bowl 53 on Sunday night, as the New England Patriots wide receiver hauled in 10 receptions for 141 yards en route to winning Super Bowl MVP.

The Rams tried everything to slow Edelman down, but they just could not stop the wily wide out from finding seams in the defense to open himself up for Tom Brady's throws.

Afterward, however, Edelman would refuse to take credit for the MVP, instead saying that the entire team deserved the honor:

“It’s an absolute honor to get this award, but honestly I’m just so proud of the group of guys that we had this year,” said the 32-year-old, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. “With the ups and downs that we all had, the ebbs and flows of the season, when you play a whole year you see how the team shapes up, and to see how this team grinded and worked each week, when things weren’t at their best, to constantly try and improve shows what a group of guys it was.”

Remember: Edelman did not play in the Patriots' Super Bowl loss against the Philadelphia Eagles last year, as he was unavailable due to a torn ACL. Taking that into consideration, this victory must have been particularly special for him.

On the season, Edelman caught 74 passes for 850 yards and six touchdowns. He then snared 26 balls for 388 yards throughout New England's playoff run en route to winning his third Super Bowl title.
