The New England Patriots are taking a beating at the hands of the Buffalo Bills in the ongoing AFC Wild Card game in New York, and somewhere out there is ex-Pats wide receiver Julius Edelman probably feeling helpless about his former team's quandary. But prior to the game, Edelman was in a terrific mood, excited for the Patriots' chances to take down Josh Allen and the Bills on the road.

As indicated by Edelman's post, the temperature in the stadium for the Patriots-Bills matchup is really low, with forecasts predicting that it could even go down to as low as four degrees by the end of the day.

However, the freezing conditions have not been enough to cool off the Bills, who took a 24-point lead into halftime, thanks to their masterful performance on both sides of the field. It will be up to Bill Belichick to keep the Patriots' focus on despite the deep hole Buffalo threw them in during the first half.

The Patriots' defense, in particular, will have to show up. New England finished the regular season second in the NFL with just 17.8 points per game, but that sturdy defense has yet to manifest in this game. As for Edelman, he's surely not going to turn off the game and stop watching the Patriots. After all, he was still with the Patriots when they won Super Bowl 56 against the Atlanta Falcons despite being down by as many as 25 points.
