Someone needs to get Bill Belichick one of those fancy cash guns. New England's offseason shopping spree continues with the signing of Dolphins linebacker Kyle Van Noy, who seems very happy to come back to Foxborough and wear a Patriots uniform again.

With this contract, Van Noy, who will turn 30 before the beginning of this upcoming season, returns to his longest-tenured team, where he found success as a lynchpin to two Super Bowl-winning defenses. Van Noy is also a member of New England's All-Decade roster for the 2010s.

NFL insider Mike Garafolo broke down the specific contract terms.

The Patriots were always going to be a little bit better coming into this season. Going into last season, the team had a slew of opt-outs that are all slated to return and will be coming back to a defense that was already strong.

Throw in Cam Newton in his second year with Belichick's system, an offensive line reinforced by Trent Brown, and a wildly overhauled receiving corps (Belichick is also set to return to his wildly successful two tight end lineup with newcomers Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry), and New England's roster is poised to return to the playoffs after just a one-year absence.

Getting Kyle Van Noy back as an athletic glue guy on a team-friendly deal is just icing on the cake. New England is back, and the AFC East is definitely quaking in its cleats.
