The New England Patriots got Mac Jones another weapon to use after trading for wide receiver DeVante Parker from the Miami Dolphins. Naturally, the second-year quarterback couldn't help but get excited with the new addition.

On Twitter, Jones welcomed Parker to the Patriots and hyped up his arrival in New England. Jones and the team has more than just postseason aspirations, and any help they can get is necessary to achieve those goals.

Of course DeVante Parker is well aware of those Super Bowl hopes. This is the Patriots we're talking about anyway, a team that has dominated the better part of the past two decades or so with NFL legend Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick. Now that Brady has been away from the team for years now and Jones taking over as the present and future of the Pats, Parker seems ready to do his part and live up to expectations.

The 29-year-old wideout responded to Jones' welcome message, highlighting that he's ready to help.

Mac Jones and the Patriots really needed a wide receiver, so Parker is a welcome boost to the team. They traded a 2023 third-round pick to get him and a 2022 fifth-rounder, but that is a worthy gamble they can take. Parker recorded a total of 515 receiving yards on 40 catches in 10 games with the Dolphins last season, allowing him to tally two touchdowns in the process.

While he is not expected to become the primary option on the offense, Parker definitely adds depth that should be crucial for New England in 2022.
