New England Patriots fans will be in for a treat this season as the franchise has announced its plans to bring back some of its most iconic uniforms. The Patriots released a video to the theme of Back to the Future in which they hyped up the return of some of the NFL's freshest-ever uniforms. Have a look at the awesome reveal including some of the Pats' biggest stars as they teased the return of their stunning red jerseys.

These Patriots uniforms won't be the exact same as the ones the team wore in the past. They've been restyled and renewed, per the organization, who reportedly worked hard to get these uniforms, particularly the helmets, back in rotation. After years of pushing for the NFL to reinstate the use of multiple helmets by teams, the Patriots received word in June of 2021 that the league had approved the rule change.

The helmets are white and feature the iconic Patriot Pat logo, and also include a splash of blue and red. The red jerseys feature a white text with a crisp blue outline and are paired with white pants.

The Patriots did not reveal exactly when they would be wearing the jerseys, but you can expect to see them at least once in the 2022 season, and hopefully more than that.

The Patriots haven't worn their red uniforms since 2012, so it'll have been a decade since the last time the team got to rock their historic alternates. The awesome look is finally set to return in 2022, something that should have fans fired up.
