New England Patriots wide receiver N'Keal Harry is back to familiar territory, which he certainly wished he would never see again.

The Patriots have placed Harry on the injured reserve list as he recovers from a shoulder injury he sustained in their second NFL preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. To recall, he left the Lincoln Financial Field at the time with a sling around his left arm.

Harry hasn't practiced with the Patriots since then, and it looks like he'll be sidelined longer after being placed in injured reserve list. This means he'll miss at least three weeks before being able to return to practice with New England, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

The injury certainly doesn't bode well for N'Keal Harry's career. For what it's worth, he was also placed on injured reserve as a rookie and went on to miss the first eight games of the 2019 campaign.

Harry has yet to have a good breakout year with the Patriots, which was probably why he requested a trade through his agent last July. After his injury, talks of him getting dealt resurfaced, especially since it looks he's up for another underwhelming season spent on the sidelines. However, head coach Bill Belichick squashed such talks, saying recently that he sees the Canada-born wideout as a significant piece of their future.

“I think N'Keal had a good (training) camp,” Belichick said Tuesday, per NBC Sports. “Glad we have him. Think he'll make a big contribution to our team.

“We'll see how it all goes from a time standpoint of when he'll be able to get back on the field, but I know he's working hard and making progress with his rehab. So, we'll keep monitoring that and see how it goes.”

It remains to be seen when Harry will be able to return, but his camp is certainly hoping it will be sooner rather than later.
