New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was reunited with his former quarterback in Tom Brady, albeit virtually. The two were involved in a parody made by ESPN for Monday Night Football in reference to the 2003 holiday-themed romantic film entitled ‘Love Actually'.

The parody portrayed Belichick knocking on Brady's door and appeared to be pleading for him to return to Foxborough. Belichick held cards that summarized the good times the two have had in the past with the Patriots,  including their 17-straight 10-win seasons, 11-straight playoff appearances, and 11-straight AFC East division titles.

Indeed, it has been that kind of a season for the Patriots squad which won a total of six Super Bowl championships in the last two decades with both Belichick and Brady at the helm. After the veteran quarterback took his talents to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Belichick was left to his own devices and had to get creative to journey through the season.

The multi-titled head coach found a new playmaker in 2015 NFL MVP Cam Newton but he wasn't able to find his previous dominant self due to his own individual woes on the field and the lack of weapons on the Patriots' roster en route to a 6-9 record.

Meanwhile, Brady and the Buccaneers have been off to a great start in the first year of their partnership. The Florida-based squad is currently holding a 10-5 record and is finally heading to the postseason after several years of mediocrity.

Hopefully, Bill Belichick can get the Patriots franchise to bounce back and return to being title contenders in the near future even without having Tom Brady on his corner moving forward.
