It only took him 265 games, but New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has officially reached 1,000 rushing yards in his NFL career.

Brady had a five-yard rush early in the Patriots' Week 13 game against the Minnesota Vikings, which helped him hit the 1,000-yard plateau.

Given the fact that Brady is already about 68,000 yards ahead of that number in the passing department, that led to some funny comments from people on social media, including NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

Brady isn't the fastest person on the planet, but he's probably fine with that since he has five Super Bowl rings and may, in fact, be the greatest quarterback ever.

And had Bill Belichick decided to use Brady a bit more in a rushing capacity over the years, the Patriots' dynasty probably wouldn't be what it is today.

New England is off to a good start against the Vikings, and a win this week would help move closer towards wrapping up yet another AFC East title.

The Patriots are 8-3 on the season, with the 6-6 Miami Dolphins being the only potential threat at this point.

Brady and company have a pretty favorable schedule to wrap up the regular season, so a divisional crown is certainly within reach. They'll play three divisional matchups in the final four weeks while also traveling to Pittsburgh for a game against the Steelers.

Will this milestone give Brady the idea of trying to hit the 2,000-yard mark by the end of the season?

My guess is probably not.
