Critics of the New England Patriots are never going to hear the end of it, are they?

During the Patriots' on-field celebration following their AFC Championship Game win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, Brady embraced wide receiver Chris Hogan at midfield, repeating all of the criticisms that were hurled toward Brady and his team throughout the season:

This will be Brady's ninth trip to the Super Bowl, but you can just tell that this one means more than the rest.

Throughout the year, media pundits and fans alike pointedly questioned Brady's mortality, particularly during the second half of the season when the 41-year-old simply did not look like his old self.

It didn't help matters much that the Patriots' defense was shoddy and that Josh Gordon, one of Brady's top threats in the passing game, ended up getting suspended indefinitely for violating the terms of his conditional reinstatement.

Still, New England managed to finish with 11 claims to claim its 10th straight AFC East division title, also locking up a first-round bye in the process. The Pats then thumped the Los Angeles Chargers by a score of 41-28 in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, jumping out to a 35-3 lead by halftime.

The Patriots then followed that up with a thrilling road victory over the Chiefs on Sunday evening, rallying from a late deficit and then winning the game in overtime behind a virtuoso drive by Brady.

New England will now move on to face the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl on Feb. 3.
