New Orleans Pelicans Tony Allen limped off the court with an apparent leg injury during their match against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The veteran shooting guard took himself out of the game and went directly to their locker room after no one even checked up on him. That resulted to the four other Pelicans players on the court to wonder who will be fielded in as they had no idea what happened to their teammate, per Brett Martell of The Associated Press.

It is still unclear what the exact injury is, but it is expected that Tony Allen will go through a series of tests to determine its extent. Although he doesn’t receive a lot of playing time, his defense is relied upon by the Pelicans along with his role as their veteran locker room leader.

Should Tony Allen miss some games, Ian Clark and Darius Miller could see a slight uptick in their minutes, and will be the primary backups for Jrue Holiday at the shooting guard spot. The Pelicans have a number of players injured right now, and they are hoping that Allen will be able to recover quickly to add much-needed depth to their lineup.
