CJ McCollum's arrival has rejuvenated the New Orleans Pelicans and it appears they could potentially be getting another boost when the play-in tournament arrives. Zion Williamson, who has been dealing with a lingering foot injury, is returning to NOLA after doing more rehab in Portland and will be cleared to continue basketball activities.

Via Shams:

While there is no indication that Zion will play for the Pelicans this season again, this is definitely a huge step in the right direction. New Orleans is on a four-game winning streak and in the mix for the postseason. Getting Williamson back in the mix would be absolutely huge for this current core of McCollum, Brandon Ingram, and Jonas Valanciunas.

But, at this point, it's just good to see he's progressing in his recovery again after several setbacks. There's also been a ton of drama surrounding the Pelicans star, with rumors swirling that he isn't happy with the organization. But, Zion set the record straight last month and made it clear he's content with New Orleans and wants to be here long-term.

Also, we have to remember the Pelicans just traded for McCollum in order to surround Williamson with more talent. Bringing in the veteran is sure paying off so far as he's averaging over 26 points per game.

Nevertheless, it will be nice to have Zion Williamson back around the team again and it leaves a glimmer of hope he could still make his season debut before 2021/22 is all said and done.
