The New Orleans Pelicans are coming into the offseason with the eighth overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft after making the playoffs. It's a very promising situation. With a trio of stars in CJ McCollum, Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson already on the team, executive vice president David Griffin, general manager Trajan Langdon and the front office have a ton of talent to work with.

The Pelicans could add even more talent if they find the right player in the first round. However, they are looking into another route to make roster improvements. According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Pelicans have received calls on their draft pick and are willing to listen to trade offers.

The New Orleans Pelicans have received several calls on the No. 8 overall pick in the lottery and are willing to listen to offers, league sources told HoopsHype.

The Pelicans would have a lot of intriguing players to pick when they're on the clock, should they keep the pick. High-profile 3-point shooters like Bennedict Mathurin and AJ Griffin would be strong additions, as would a host of other players. They also have picks 41 and 52 to find young talent.

By using the eighth pick in trades, the Pelicans could make all sorts of trades. They don't necessarily need to find another solid young player because they already have several. The aforementioned Williamson is 21 years old, Ingram is 24 and other solid players like Herb Jones, Jaxson Hayes and Jose Alvarado are all younger than 24. New Orleans has plenty of options at their disposal in the NBA Draft.
