New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis has already established himself as the NBA's premier big man. However, the one question regarding Davis thus far in his young career has been his durability.

Which is exactly why Pelicans fans had to hold their breath when Anthony Davis took a nasty spill during the second quarter versus the Atlanta Hawks.

Fortunately, the fall looked much worse than the damage that was actually caused after Davis was able to resume action immediately after the slip. More Importantly, he finished the game albeit with sub-standard numbers of 13 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.

The four-time All-Star has been plagued with injuries pretty much every year since being taken with the first overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. In fact, he still has yet to finish a full 82-game season in his five years in the league.

New Orleans went on to defeat Atlanta in a 106-105 nailbiter Monday night to move on to 8-6 on the season. The Pelicans seem to be all in on their frontcourt pairing of Anthony Davis and fellow superstar big man DeMarcus Cousins. However, if this team is to be competitive in this year's Western Conference playoffs, they will need Davis to be at full strength. That said, whoever left that floor mop so close to the court will most probably be under fire from the Pelicans organization.
