Although they didn't play Wednesday night, the Pittsburgh Penguins got some media attention before a national league game. NBA Lakers superstar LeBron James sported a Penguins jersey as the main part of his pregame look. As usual, King James' fit was fire, and the Lakers captured the look for their Twitter account ahead of their game against the Mavericks.

But…James plays for Los Angeles. Why isn't he wearing an LA Kings jersey instead?

That answer is simple. He recently became a co-owner of the Penguins when Fenway Sports Group bought the franchise. James reportedly owns about 2% of Fenway Sports Group, after partnering with the company in 2011.

Needless to say, he is proud of his investment. There aren't many times when James wears a jersey besides his own. In fact, it looks like this might actually be his jersey. In the photo posted by the Lakers, jersey number six can be seen on one sleeve, the same number James wears on the Lakers.

Typically before games, he sports a comfy, monochromatic look with occasional pops of bright accent colors.

While a little less comfortable, James mostly kept to his pregame aesthetic with the bright pops of yellow in his jersey. Despite being across the country, James will be rooting on the Penguins; not only as a fan of the team, but as an investor.
