Disney just released new photos of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians trio in half their armor, Comicbook.com reported.

The series adaptation of Rick Riordan's best-selling books will have eight episodes, with all titles also released. The show's first season will follow the first book in the series, The Lightning Thief.

The first book, and the show's first eight episodes, will serve as Percy Jackson's (Walker Scobell) origin story, including how he arrives at Camp Half-Blood. However, most of the camp's residents have been there for years, and the show will cover Percy's first year there.

Percy Jackson and the Mist

In the photos, we see both Percy and Annabeth Chase (Leah Jeffries) clad in half an armor. Their left sides show them without their armor, denoting their appearance in the human world, protected by the Mist. Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri), on the other hand, wears no armor. However, his right side does show his horns, indicating his status as a satyr.

Percy and Annabeth also have necklaces. Grover doesn't because he isn't a demigod. Annabeth has five beads on her necklace, which means she's spent five summers at Camp Half-Blood. The gold ring belongs to her human father, Frederick, who is a West Point American and military history professor. At least in the books.

Percy wears a necklace as well, but he doesn't have beads yet, since he's new and the first season will tackle his first summer at the camp. Each bead features the highlight of the summer — typically disasters that the campers survive.

While it's not visible in the photos, Annabeth's beads feature a pine tree, a Centaur in a prom dress and a Greek war galley or ship (trireme) on fire. We don't find out what the other two are because in the books, Percy interrupts her.

Scobell, Jeffries and Simhadri are joined by a star-studded cast who fill the Greek pantheon such as Jason Mantzoukas (Dionysus), Adam Copeland (Ares), Jay Duplass (Hades), Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hermes), Timothy Omundson (Hephaestus, Lance Reddick (Zeus) and Toby Stephens (Poseidon). ‘

Camp Half-Blood teachers and residents include Glynn Turman (Chiron), Dior Goodjohn (Clarisse La Rue) and Charlie Bushnell (Luke).

Percy Jackson and the Olympians starts airing on Disney+ on Dec. 20.
