The LIV Golf league has taken the sports world by storm, persuading some of the game's greatest golfers to see how green the grass is on the other side. Some of the biggest names, such as Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau, have cast aside their love for the PGA. The Tour hasn't just sat back and watched either, as they announced suspensions for 17 players who seceded to LIV.

DeChambeau, one of the players who, as of right now, has yet to receive a suspension from the PGA, is technically eligible to play in the Traveler's Championship, set to begin on June 23. He revealed his status for the tournament on Wednesday, per ESPN.

“As of right now, I'm not playing next week,” DeChambeau told ESPN on Wednesday.

DeChambeau said that “as of right now, he's not playing next week.” The 2020 US Open champion had expressed his desire to continue playing PGA events, even amid his involvement with LIV Golf.

It's not clear whether that's something he'll be able to do long-term- or whether he will accrue a suspension from the PGA as well. DeChambeau is slated to play the US Open this weekend, thanks to the USGA's decision to allow players involved with LIV to tee off at the Country Club.

It's possible that the US Open is the last time that PGA fans see DeChambeau.
