Phil Jackson has spoken his mind on various topics these past few weeks. From super team building to hype tweets for next season, he certainly has strong opinions within the NBA.

Most recently, he commented on the rules of the game and how he thinks they can be improved. Players nowadays are making shots farther and farther away from the three-point line, and Jackson thinks there should be accommodations for these players.

“Why not have a four-point line about 35 feet out? It wouldn’t be long before players will get reasonably comfortable shooting from out there,” Jackson told Today's Fastbreak. “And having a four-point line would certainly serve to enable teams to catch up in what are now blowout games.”

He even suggested that the shot clock should be increased from 24 seconds to 30 seconds.

“This would give offenses more time to get low-post players involved, make defenses work harder, and encourage more passing and player movement,” Jackson remarked.

These changes would pose a significant change to how the game is played. Players like Stephen Curry would be eager to develop a shot that was worth twice as much as a simple layup.

Of course, a mere suggestion from Phil Jackson probably won't change rules anytime soon, so we don't need to worry about that possibility for the Splash Family.
