In a battle between two of the top teams in the Eastern Conference on Monday night, the Detroit Pistons (13-6) picked up a huge 118-108 victory over the Boston Celtics (18-4) on the road. One of the Pistons' players who made a return to TD Garden was guard Avery Bradley, who played his first seven seasons in the NBA with the Celtics.

According to a tweet from Jared Weiss of USA TODAY, Bradley reflected on his stay with the Celtics before the game against his former team.

“I looked at it as all these years here helped me grow to a certain point in my life as a man and a basketball player and moving on to Detroit is going to help me grow to the next level that I want to be at. I appreciate everything that I received from the city of Boston,” Bradley said on Monday before the game.

Before the game started, a tribute video to Bradley played on the jumbotron. A tweet posted by ESPN's Chris Forsberg shows the touching moment.

The guard had even more nice things to say about the Boston faithful after the Pistons' victory when he met with the media.

“In my seven years here, I tried to go out there and compete hard and leave everything out on the court for [the fans]. For them to show that respect back to me, it means a lot to me. This will always be my second home and I love all the fans in Boston,” Bradley said, per Forsberg.

On the night, Bradley finished with 13 points (5-of-14 from the field), five assists and two steals in 38 minutes of action.
