According to Detroit Pistons head coach Dwane Casey, All-Star power forward Blake Griffin is recovering well and recently had some bounce in a workout.

Griffin is rehabbing from yet another knee surgery, but the Pistons coach liked what he saw from the former high-flyer.

After putting up superstar numbers in 2018-19, Blake Griffin was woeful in 2019-20. He averaged 15.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 18 games before shutting his season down to get knee surgery. Griffin shot 35.2 percent from the field, 24.3 percent from beyond the arc and 77.6 percent from the free-throw line, as he had no lift in his shot.

Griffin put up 24.5 points, 7.5 boards and 5.4 assists for the Pistons in 2018-19. However, he underwent knee surgery after the 2019 playoffs ended, wasn't able to regain his star form this season, and needed another knee procedure.

Now, Pistons fans are worried that Griffin and his monster contract are going to hold the team back moving forward. The former No. 1 overall pick, though, is certainly motivated to have a bounce-back year in 2020-21.

Detroit wasn't invited to Disney World for the NBA restart since they had the third-worst record in the Eastern Conference standings before games were suspended in March. The only way the Pistons are going to compete for a playoff spot next season is if Griffin and Derrick Rose stay healthy and play like All-Stars.
