As part of a recent interview with The Athletic, Detroit Pistons head coach Dwane Casey noted that Blake Griffin will be “ready to go” for the start of this season's training camp.

Griffin, now 30 years of age, underwent a minor arthroscopic procedure on his left knee after the Pistons were eliminated from the postseason. He's recovered well, and Casey says his star forward has been working out over the last week:

“Blake (Griffin) is ready to go, too. He was in town most of last week working,” Casey told The Athletic.

The Pistons will be cautious in their approach to Griffin's return to the court. However, Casey stated that he doesn't plan on cutting his minutes drastically. If Detroit makes it to the postseason, though, Griffin would likely play more minutes.

Griffin enjoyed a fine 2018-19 regular season campaign with the Pistons. The former Oklahoma standout made 75 appearances with Detroit, racking up averages of 24.5 points on 46.2 percent shooting from the field (36.2 percent from beyond the arc), 7.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 34.0 minutes per outing.

The Pistons finished the 2018-19 season with a 41-41 overall record, which earned the team a No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. Unfortunately, though, Detroit was swept by the Milwaukee Bucks in the opening round.
