Detroit Pistons executive Ed Stefanski says the franchise hasn't thought about Blake Griffin's future with the team after trading Andre Drummond to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday.

Stefanski says right now, Griffin and the Pistons are focusing on getting the high-flyer healthy again. The Pistons star underwent a successful arthroscopic debridement of his left knee and will miss the rest of the season:

Griffin was a superstar last season. He appeared in 75 games for the Pistons and put up 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game. Detroit made the playoffs for the first time since 2016, but they got swept by the Milwaukee Bucks in part because Griffin only played in Games 3 and 4 due to his knee injury. Blake underwent knee surgery after the playoffs ended.

This season was a nightmare for Griffin, who didn't have any lift or speed. The former No. 1 overall pick put up 15.5 points and 4.7 rebounds in 18 games while shooting a woeful 35.2 percent from the field and 24.3 percent from beyond the arc.

Griffin has arguably one of the worst contracts in the league, considering he didn't play well this season. The former high-flyer is making $34.2 million this season and owed $36.6 million in 2020-21.

The Pistons are 19-34 on the season. They are in 10th place in the Eastern Conference standings.
