The Detroit Pistons will send forward Stanley Johnson to the Milwaukee Bucks in return for big man Thon Maker, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Both lottery picks could benefit from a change in scenery, as Johnson never quite got the steady playing time he looked for in The Motor City while Maker struggled to get off the bench with the likes of Brook Lopez manning the center position and Greg Monroe doing so for part of last season.

Johnson can give the Bucks some needed wing depth while Maker could bolster a Pistons frontline that needs some versatility.

Maker's playing time decreased under Mike Budenholzer and while there is no guarantee that Dwane Casey will give him much run, he's been known to love stretch bigs during his time with Toronto, giving the 7-foot-1 forward/center a glimmer of hope. He averaged 4.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.5 blocks this season before being dealt.

Johnson has yet to have a breakout season, shooting under 40 percent from the field in each of his four years in the league. He's developed as a defender, but is rather unlikely to crack a spot in Budenholzer's playoff rotation unless an injury takes place. The Arizona standout averaged 7.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game this season.
