Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin went back to his old stomping grounds in Los Angeles, taking on another one of Rico Hines' pickup runs at UCLA. The former high-flyer-turned-perimeter-shooter showed he still has some of that explosiveness in his legs, displaying a series of air-defying dunks along with his 3-point jumper.

Griffin might have been aided by his lightweight Jordan tank top or maybe his short shorts, or as this guy said, what's left of them.

Griffin's shooting will be needed in order for the Pistons to show some mettle under new coach Dwane Casey, but they will need his thunderous dunks as well from time to time, as one of the best high-risers in the game.

The Oklahoma product was a dunk machine in his heyday, even winning the Slam Dunk Contest in 2011 by jumping over a Kia to take home the trophy.

If Griffin can attack the rim with the same ferocity, the new-look Pistons will be in good shape entering the 2018-19 season, barring any injuries to Reggie Jackson, who has proven ultimately prone to them during his stint in the Motor City.
