Paris Saint-Germain is likely coming to terms with the fact that Kylian Mbappe will no longer be with the club next season. The French starlet is set to join Real Madrid in the coming days, barring a massive surprise ahead of his impending announcement, putting an end to his five-year run with PSG. When the move to Real Madrid does become official, PSG will likely be seeking a superstar replacement for their world-class striker.

Replacing Mbappe will be difficult to do, as he's one of the best talents in the entire world. But it's not impossible to get solid production out of the striker spot without the 23-year-old in town, especially given the playmakers surrounding him. There will be a handful of quality attacking players set to make big-money moves this summer, and PSG will surely be willing to splash major cash in order to land their next star. With Erling Haaland no longer available after his move to Manchester City, PSG will have to explore some other top options.

With that in mind, here are five potential replacements for Kylian Mbappe at PSG, should he sign for Real Madrid.

5 best Kylian Mbappe replacements for PSG

5. Darwin Nunez- Benfica

Darwin Nunez has become a well-known name among top teams in hopes of landing a striker, and now you can add PSG to that list. The Benfica star burst onto the scene this season after scoring 26 goals in 28 games for Benfica. He added 4 assists to his tally, impressive numbers for a player aged 22. He'll be sought after by some of the biggest clubs in the world, including Arsenal and Manchester United, but PSG could come in and make him their long-term replacement for Mbappe. Nunez figures to cost around $55 million, but that's certainly affordable for the French giants.

4. Christopher Nkunku, RB Leipzig

This one may be a bit less likely, considering PSG are not fond of purchasing players whom they once sold. Nkunku was a PSG academy player who failed to get into the first team. He's since become a superstar in the Bundesliga at RB Leipzig, enjoying a breakout year in 2021-22. Across 34 matches, Nkunku scored 20 goals and added 13 assists. The 24-year-old has played a key role for his club over the past few seasons but could be lured with a move away this summer as he looks for a bigger challenge. He could be a great replacement for Mbappe, as he's an elite scorer with a gifted ability to find the open teammate as well.

3. Marcus Rashford, Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo seems primed to stay another season at Manchester United, which doesn't bode well for Marcus Rashford's chances of returning to the first team. That could result in the Englishman looking for a move away from his boyhood club, and he's been linked to PSG in the past. Rashford could showcase his full potential playing alongside the likes of Messi, Neymar, Marco Verratti, and the rest of the PSG superstars, while also getting back into Champions League football, something Manchester United cannot offer him.

2. Gabriel Jesus, Manchester City

Gabriel Jesus never quite lived up to his potential at Manchester City, and he's certainly looking for a way out after the team brought in Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund. While the Premier League may not have been the best fit for Jesus, we've seen slews of players find more success following moves away from England. Jesus is still wildly talented and could be a huge addition to the PSG side, while still at the fresh age of 25. He would be playing alongside some of his Brazilian compatriots in Paris, and could be a solid addition to the attacking third, while also leaving PSG with some room to fortify other positions or sign another striker for competition.

1. Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich

It's beginning to look as Lewandowski's time at Bayern is coming to a close. The legendary Polish striker has long been considered the best striker in the world and is wrapping up his third season in the past four years with 30+ goals in the Bundesliga. He's keen on joining Barcelona, but the Catalan side may not have the finances to pull off a move for the 33-year-old. PSG, on the other hand, have seemingly unlimited spending power and should certainly consider a move for Lewandowski, where he'd be primed to play alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar. No one in the world has been as consistent in front of goal as Lewandowski in recent years, and he can play out the remainder of his prime in France, competing for Champions Leagues, should he consider joining. This seems like a great fit, especially if Lewandowski's Barcelona move proves an impossibility, and it would truly be a marvel to see how many goals Lewandowski could score in Ligue 1.
