The NFL season is almost here, but that doesn't mean that teams aren't trying to continue to bring talent on board. On Thursday, the Las Vegas Raiders added a veteran presence to their defense in K.J. Wright, according to Josina Anderson.

Wright spent his entire career thus far with the Seattle Seahawks and will now be reunited with Gus Bradley, who was the defensive coordinator during the Seahawks' Legion of Boom days. Bradley previously held the same position with the Los Angeles Chargers before joining the Raiders during the offseason.

So, a familiar face for Bradley and a veteran pickup for the Raiders, who are trying to revitalize after their porous defensive showing during the 2020 season.

What Wright brings the most is versatility. Despite the five-game season in 2018, Wright has suited up for all 16 games in five seasons and can still provide some quality play for the Raiders, or so they hope. Moreover, having to compete against Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes four times over the course of the season is a tough task.

The Raiders open the regular season on September 13 against the Baltimore Ravens, and unfortunately, the Raiders don't face the Seahawks this season, so no revenge game for Wright.
