The Oakland Raiders have decided to make a significant change after a disappointing 6-10 season. The three-time Super Bowl champions have parted ways with head coach Jack Del Rio and brought back Jon Gruden on a historic 10-year, $100 million deal.

With the Raiders finally being able to bring Gruden back to Oakland, there's no shortage of excitement in the Bay Area from the fans to the players, including left tackle Donald Penn. The veteran left tackle played for Gruden with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he believes this move is a game changer for the Raiders with a team built for success in the same way the Golden State Warriors were for Steve Kerr, via NFL.com.

“I'm looking at it like, I joke with people, I look at it like Steve Kerr when he joined the Warriors,” Penn said on NFL Total Access on Monday. “Coach Gruden is coming into a great situation where he has a lot of pieces in place already. He's not going to have to do too many things but tweak a couple of things here. Me knowing coach Gruden, his mentality, and his excitement and energy he's going to bring, I don't think there's any coach in the NFL that brings that kind of excitement. You guys hear him on Monday night, you see how excited he is for football. So bringing that in, it's going to trickle down through the building.”

Once Kerr took over the Warriors as successor to Mark Jackson, Stephen Curry and company kicked it into high gear and immediately became the team to beat in the NBA. Kerr led the Warriors to a title in his first season as head coach and has been to the NBA Finals three years in a row winning two out of those three trips.

As for the Raiders, the team is stacked with talent with Derek Carr under center, Marshawn Lynch coming out of the backfield, Amari Cooper downfield, and Khalil Mack on the other side of the football leading the charge defensively. Oakland also has one of the best offensive lines in the NFL with Penn among the Pro Bowl-caliber talent upfront.

Gruden will have his work cut out for him as he tries to adjust to the changes the game has undergone since he last coached a game in 2009, but the Raiders definitely have the tools to be a legitimate Super Bowl title contender if the one-time champion can put it all together.
