The Oakland Raiders are hoping that an offseason filled with moves will help the team turn things around, and with a new general manager in the building, head coach Jon Gruden says that the entire energy around the team has changed.

With the NFL Draft approaching, the Raiders released a new video via 247 Sports that details some of what new general manager Mike Mayock hopes to accomplish in the draft.

In the video, a voiceover from Jon Gruden can be heard talking about just how different the team is with Mayock in charge.

“He has energized the building,” Gruden said. “He has worked well with all of the people, the scouts, the players, the agents. His ability to pick up the phone and call anybody in the league and have a legitimate conversation that has been well thought through is important, and he's got a lot of credibility in the building and in this league, and we're happy to have him. He's been on the fast track to learn all of the nuances of his new position, but his leadership and his passion for the Raiders and his passion to help this team get better is what I love being around him the most. So far, it's been great.”

A longtime NFL analyst, Mayock has apparently been hitting the ground running as the Raiders new GM, and has been heavily scouting players across the country.

Of course, he’s been busy making deals as well, as the Raiders made a huge splash by trading for wide receiver Antonio Brown last month.

Now, he’ll likely be setting his sights on the NFL Draft, where the Raiders hold two first round picks, and will be hoping to bolster their roster with some young talent.
