The Las Vegas Raiders have struggled in 2022 without question. They are 2-6 on the season and are facing a number of questions in reference to their roster. However, head coach Josh McDaniels’ job is reportedly not in jeopardy, per Josina Anderson

“League source on the status of the #Raiders:  ‘Josh (McDaniels) is safe. Don't believe crowd noise. Everyone is disappointed, but no one is panicking. We all feel we have a good team, we just have to finish games better,’” Anderson wrote on Twitter.

Head coaches such as Matt Rhule and Frank Reich have already been fired this season. But Las Vegas seems to be willing to give Josh McDaniels the benefit of the doubt. With that being said, the Raiders had high expectations entering 2022 but have obviously fallen short of their goals.

The Raiders’ defense has been especially underwhelming, surrendering over 25 points per game. That mark ranks 28th in the entire NFL. Las Vegas was recently criticized by many after blowing a lead in their most recent loss.

Josh McDaniels, the former New England Patriots’ offensive coordinator, appeared to be a tremendous candidate for an up and coming Raiders team. And perhaps he still can turn this season around. But there is no question that he and Las Vegas have massively underperformed up to this point.

Josh McDaniels and the Raiders will enter Week 10 sitting in last place in the AFC West. They will attempt to get back on track against an Indianapolis Colts team that recently fired their head coach Frank Reich.
