The Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott have been in talks about a contract negotiation for quite some time now.

However, lately it feels like things have stalled out and might even be getting a little bit heated.

This even led to the quarterback's brother tweeting out about disliking the Cowboys. He hinted that he may not have to root for them for much longer as well. So that clearly got all the rumors swirling.

Is Prescott leaving? If that happens, what team would bring him in?

According to SportsLine on Twitter, there are some strong candidates. But the Las Vegas Raiders are at the front of the pack.

Currently, the Raiders have Derek Carr at quarterback. But that relationship is not exactly perfect either. Plenty of rumors have swirled around between those two.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears are in second in the potential Dak Prescott sweepstakes. That makes a lot of sense as most people are not satisfied with the duo of Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles.

The Indianapolis Colts are next. Philip Rivers is there now, but is close to retirement. So bringing in Prescott would be a perfect replacement.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have Gardner Minshew, so it will be interesting to see how his 2020 plays out.

And the New Orleans Saints have both Drew Brees and Jameis Winston. Brees is closing in on retirement and Winston is on a one-year deal. But he could easily be the replacement if they decide to re-sign him.

The New England Patriots have Cam Newton on a one-year deal so pending on how things go this could work for Dak Prescott.

Washington is confusing. Dwayne Haskins was not perfect in his rookie year but made massive improvements. They would be smart to give him a real look.

The Pittsburgh Steelers don't know how much time Ben Roethlisberger has left in the NFL. And last season was proof that they will need a new replacement, as the ones on the roster are not it.

Finally, the Detroit Lions have Matthew Stafford. Stafford is great, but a combination of injuries and contract could mean his time is almost up with the franchise. Could they decide to go the Prescott route and see if that works?

A lot of these teams make sense. Las Vegas has a very strong case with Carr's relationship with the franchise seemingly bumpy.

Is that where Prescott ends up? Or does he go to one of the other teams? Of course, the Cowboys are still in the mix as well. Just because things have gotten a little crazy does not mean they won't work out.

We'll just have to let it all play out.
