The Las Vegas Raiders already have a star at tight end in Darren Waller. Foster Moreau and Derek Carrier are interesting depth pieces as well.

It appears this offseason that the Raiders are not satisfied though. First, they brought in Jason Witten. The long-time Dallas Cowboys tight end is an immediate upgrade as their second-string tight end. He will add a lot to the offense and be a great relief piece for Waller.

They still weren't done though. Now according to Field Yates of ESPN, on Saturday Las Vegas has signed Nick O'Leary.

O'Leary was a sixth round selection of the Buffalo Bills back in the 2015 NFL Draft. Since then, he's played for three teams, the Bills, the Miami Dolphins and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In that time, the tight end has 53 receptions for 668 yards and four touchdowns.

While those numbers don't jump out at you, they aren't bad for someone who tends to be a depth piece on teams. He's likely a cheap addition that the Raiders can use in competition.

Waller is the clear cut one, and Witten is the number two. That leaves O'Leary to battle with Carrier and Moreau for the third spot. If they impress enough, maybe the Raiders stick with four tight ends.

So in a few short months, O'Leary might not even be on the team anymore. He's a valuable addition for now though, as it gives Las Vegas a chance to evaluate their talent a little more.

And if O'Leary does indeed win a spot, he's shown he can be pretty productive without too much playing time.
