The NFL Network’s television show, NFL GameDay, released their rankings on who they believed to be the First Team All-Pro this season. Los Angeles Rams former All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey took to Twitter to share his thoughts in a series of tweets.

The NFL GameDay show lists Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs and New England Patriots CB J.C. Jackson as the two players to make the team. Ramsey took exception to the list.

Ramsey tweeted “Some people are just haters. It’s who they are. Some people just don’t know how to keep it real, it is what it is. Some people just aren’t that good at their jobs lol… God bless them all tho.”

A few minutes later, he posted again.

There were numerous cornerbacks that had standout seasons. Diggs led the NFL with 11 interceptions. Meanwhile, Jackson finished right behind him with eight picks. But interceptions are not all that matters, to Ramsey’s point.

According to Pro Football Focus, the First Team All-Pro cornerbacks should be Ramsey and the Atlanta Falcons CB A.J. Terrell. Terrell allowed a total of 200 yards receiving in coverage all year. That’s amazing. Based on PFF’s list, Diggs and Jackson did not even make the Second Team All-Pro. Those honors went to Cincinnati Bengals’ Chidobe Awuzie and Philadelphia Eagles’ Darius Slay.

A strong case can be made for Slay, as no corner had to play against the murderer’s row of receivers that he has. Slay has lined up against Calvin Ridley, Deebo Samuel, CeeDee Lamb, Tyreek Hill, Mike Evans, Keenan Allen and Terry McLaurin. Yet, no receiver went over 100 yards on him all season.
