Free-agent safety Eric Weddle is set to meet with the Los Angeles Rams, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Weddle was released by the Baltimore Ravens earlier this week and is garnering a lot of attention on the open market, with Rapoport reporting that Weddle has received 11 offers. However, he has narrowed his search down to five teams.

The 34-year-old is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he registered 68 tackles and a sack en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

Weddle, who played his collegiate football at the University of Utah, was originally selected by the San Diego Chargers in the second round (37th pick overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft.

He played in 15 games during his rookie campaign, finishing with 53 tackles, a sack, an interception, and six passes defended.

Weddle went on to play the first nine years of his career with the Chargers, making three Pro Bowl appearances while earning a couple of First-Team All-Pro selections. His best season came in 2011, when he racked up 88 tackles, seven picks, and 11 passes defended.

After his tenure with the Bolts, Weddle made his way to the Ravens in 2016, and in his first year with the club, he posted 89 stops, a sack, four interceptions, a forced fumble, and 13 passes defended, earning a trip to Honolulu.

The Fontana, Ca. native then landed another Pro Bowl selection in 2017, tallying 63 tackles, a sack, six interceptions, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, eight passes defended, and a defensive touchdown.

The Rams won 12 games this past year and made it all the way to the Super Bowl before falling to the New England Patriots.
